Safety Equipment Reminder
These items are required on your boat as your approach the launch ramp:
Valid Ohio registration with decals properly applied
Wearable pfd for each person aboard.
A throw cushion pfd for boats 16 ft. or longer
A distress flag
A whistle (usually attached to throw cushion) for boats 16 ft. or larger
If sailing after sunset, a white light is required. A flashlight will
comply.
Leave the beer behind in the car
In addition. CLSA Sailing Instructions require an adequate bailing device
unless cockpit can drain all water by gravity alone. Suction bailers don't
count. Some class rules have a requirement to carry and anchor and line and our SI
1.1 requires compliance with class rules.
