CLSA Is Open for the 2017 Sailing Season

The Clubhouse is now open and we await the start of the racing season on April 23rd. The RC boats and docks have been put in place. The launch area docks go in on April 15th. Lift parties are taking place each weekend in April. We also have several training classes that will be held in April & May.

The first is Race Committee Training to be held on April 23 at 10:30. It will cover the basics that will help those who are less familiar with how to conduct a race. Since all members serve on race committee, you are all encouraged to attend. A CPR and First Aid class is also scheduled for April 30th. Pre-work is required so register soon. Go to the Event Calendar to register for all classes.

CLSA has implemented a club management software system known as ClubExpress. If you are a member and do not know your login information, just send your full name and desired email address to CLSA Webmaster

Learn to Sail Class

A Learn to Sail class will be held on May 20 & 21. It is designed to teach the basics of sailing to anyone who is interested. The cost is only $25. Registrations are required. Click on "More News" below for more details on this class.

I-71 Bridge Closed Sunday April 23

The Jeremiah Morrow Bridge will be imploded around 7am.  Approaches to the bridge area will be blocked from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Ohio 73 and Ohio 48 interchanges, along with closures for the bike path and river below. Detours will be set up. This will require the ramps from Ohio 123 to northbound I-71, east of Lebanon, and from Wilmington Road to southbound I-71

In Memory Of

With a moment of silence at the Winter Dinner, the Club paid tribute to two CLSA members who passed away in the past 45 days, Bob Shondel and Carl Pratt.  They will not grace our shores again, but their spirits will always be present.  Please keep their wives, Lynn and Marie, in your prayers.
