This program provides an introduction to sailing. We will review types of boats, basics of sailboat rigging, basics of sailing, and safety practices. Weather permitting, we will have some on-the-water sailing with CLSA members. This will be a two-day event on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Participants should bring notepad and paper, clothes appropriate for the day‘s weather, and closed-toe shoes that they can wear on a boat. We will be sailing in the afternoon.

Class starts at 9:00 AM with indoor sessions until approximately 1:00 pm, and ends around 4:00 in the afternoon. Class then resumes indoors from 9-12 on Sunday.

We will take a lunch break around noon on Saturday, please bring your own lunch and drinks.
